Avoid the Rain in (a) Bath!
It has been said that Bath has more museums in one square mile than anywhere else in the UK, meaning that you can explore a huge collection of museums and exhibitions on foot.
Each museum has something different to offer, from traditional museums and art galleries, to fashion and postal museums. And of course there’s the Roman Baths to visit – a must when visiting the city.

Rise Above the Rain Clouds at The National Space Centre in Leicester
The National Space Centre boasts six galleries, an iconic Rocket Tower, the UK’s largest domed planetarium, plus lots of space suits, rockets, satellites and meteorites.
This day out is great for families with children as you can meet astronauts, and even become a training astronaut on a lunar base! For adults, there is a programme of events including a Cosmic Valentine evening dedicated to love!

Seek Out Summer at The Eden Project in Cornwall

Learn to Love the Rain at the Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynlleth, Wales
The Centre for Alternative Technology is a scientific research centre for both adults and children to enjoy. With 7 acres of grounds, your visit could include anything from watching one of the many demonstrations for sustainable living, a quarry trail, children’s play areas, or taking part in one of the activities on site.
If you have some extra energy to burn off, the Quarry Trail or Pulse Trail are both fantastic walks with incredible scenery.
